3x Grammy Award winning band Tool are returning to Australia for the first time since their headline tour with Big Day Out in 2011.
They'll be playing shows in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Brisbane.
Singer Maynard James Keenan, guitarist Adam Jones, drummer Danny Carey and bassist Justin Chancellor are set to perform four Australian dates through late April and early May before one New Zealand concert in Auckland.
Known for their multi-sensory productions, the genre-crossing band are the 'leaders of live' in the prog-rock realm but while drummer Danny Carey did reveal in 2012 that a new album was "coming together", this week Maynard James Keenan told a Chilean radio station there will be no follow up to 2006's 10,000 Days.
"No new disc. Not this year,” Keenan told Radio Futuro. "I have not written any songs. So no, there is nothing."
