The Australian music extravaganza that was Long Way To The Top is back for a 10th anniversary tour.
In October, over 18 Australian musicians will reunite for the concert, including Brian Cadd, Marcia Hines, Spectrum and John Paul Young, performing music released up to the 1970s.
This year’s shows will also feature notable 80’s acts such as Noiseworks, Mi-sex and Dragon.
Organiser Michael Chugg said the shows are a trip down memory lane. “Well before CDS, iTunes and YouTube, Australians were devoted to live concerts, vinyl singles and LPS... And of course, un-missable shows like Bandstand, Sounds and Countdown.”
While paying tribute to Australian music, Long Way To The Top will also act as a performance legacy to late icon Billy Thorpe, whom Chugg said “had a huge impact on music history in this country”.
Long Way To The Top will travel to Melbourne, Sydney, Newcastle and Brisbane from October 5, with tickets on sale August 10.
