Known for his gritty Southern Rock twangs and poetic refrains, Alabama native Jason Isbell will be joining Ryan Adams on tour across Australia and New Zealand early next year.
A former member of Drive-By Truckers, Isbell made his solo debut 'Sirens of the Ditch' in 2007 and has since released two further albums with backing band The 400 Unit. The latest release 'Here We Rest'(Lightning Rod Records) was released earlier this year to critical acclaim:
"A highly respected songwriter by both critics and fans, Isbell takes his craft to the upper echelon with this fine release." - Creative Loafing Atlanta (5 Stars)
"Isbell's third solo album is earthy and unpretentiously eclectic - bluesy shuffles, gospel tinges - and you almost expect Bonnie Raitt's voice to waft in." - Spin (8/10)
"Here We Rest is a testament to Isbell's intelligent, honest and soulful songcraft..." - Direct Current
Melbourne's Regent Theatre and the Sydney Opera House dates have already sold out, it would be a shame to watch the remaining shows follow suit without securing a ticket for yourself.
